Tech + Society Fellowship

Tech + Society Fellowship

Selection Process

Fellows and host organizations for the 2024-2026 Tech + Society cohort will be selected based on a matching process following the review of fellowship applications, interviews with short-listed candidates, and a matching process to pair fellows with host organizations. Those involved in selection may include a combination of Mozilla staff, organizational partners (including Ford Foundation staff and that of potential host organizations), and other experts in the field, potentially including fellowship alumni.

Reviewers will seek to fund people, organizations, and projects that sit at the intersection of public interest technology and civil society across East Africa, India, MENA, Mexico, and Brazil. You can read more about the types of projects supported by this fellowship in the first cohort here.

Ultimately, the fellowships supported through the Tech + Society program should leverage improved and culturally appropriate technology to enhance the communities in which the technologists and organizations are embedded.

For this opportunity, we are primarily interested in collaborating with individuals, networks, and self-organized groups and organizations that are based in or legally can work in East Africa, India, MENA, Mexico, and Brazil.
