We’re glad our research contributed to a fairer pricing system for Tinder users. But this decision doesn’t solve the bigger problem our research highlighted.

Tinder claims these discounts explain our findings that older users are unfairly charged more. But without transparency into how its personal pricing algorithm works, we can’t confirm this. And we can’t know for sure if other people and communities are still being charged unfairly.

So we’ll say it again: Tinder, it’s time for meaningful transparency into your pricing algorithms.
