TikTok's addictive algorithm keeps you watching, sometimes for hours on end. Yet very little is understood about how it works, and TikTok doesn't provide robust tools for researchers.

The Opportunity
Following the success of our YouTube RegretsReporter, we’re launching a new crowdsourced research project to find out exactly what’s going on inside TikTok’s black box. We want to know more about how it selects content for your feed, how much control you have, and what impact that has on you.
The Ask
To do that, we need your support to raise $100,000 to support our research and advocacy efforts, including the development of a TikTok crowdsourcing tool.
