Researchers recently warned there are vulnerabilities in the Android app that controls some DJI consumer drones that allows for the collection of large amounts of personal data. The leaked data, they warned, could then be exploited by the Chinese government. DJI drones have also been easily hacked in the past. In 2017, the US Military even issued a ban on using this company's drones for military purposes. Owning an insecure flying camera could present some problems for civilians too, so buyer beware. Having the personal information on your phone leaking to unknown sources who might exploit it, yeah, that's a really bad thing!
