Overview

Justice refers both to individuals' receiving 'what they are owed', and to a social order that makes that possible. Equity is a related concept, focused on people having 'what they need', even if that is different from having 'the same' that everyone else has. There are a variety of ways in which issues of justice and equity intersect with computing, and each of these is both a reason for discussing justice and equity in relation to Computing as well as an example of what to discuss. This section focuses on three areas: the classroom, industry/discipline, and products.
