Litter Robot 3 Connect

Fecha de la reseña 23/10/2019

Never scoop cat litter again! That's the claim this robot litter box makes, and honestly, that's some damn fine marketing. We love our cats. But who really enjoys dealing with the litter box. So, if you got $500--yes, it's not cheap to live the litter box scooper-free life--this WiFi-enabled, automatic, self-cleaning litter box could be the answer to your litter scooping prayers. And not only does it do all the work for you, you can also spy on your kitty while it does. This litter box connects to an app that tells you "recent usage history" and "waste drawer levels." So you'll always know when and how much little Fluffy has pooped. Whoo! Talk about peace of mind.

Qué podría pasar si algo falla

Unfortunately, this product raises as many red flags and the litter box itself probably does when Fluffy is dealing with an upset stomach. The product does not meet our Minimum Security Standards because the only privacy policy we could find was one for the website. That means the device and the app it connects to do not have a privacy policy we could find. That's bad. Also, it appears to use the default password “neverscoop” to connect the device to WiFi. All in all, someone potentially spying on you spying on you cat pooping probably isn't the worst invasion of your privacy and security. However, bad privacy and security practices can often open the door for more serious hacks. And a company selling a $500 litter box should do better, in our opinion.
