- Attack on Indigenous People Content on Social Media platforms - May Escalations
Over the past years, the content moderation policies of social media platforms have been unfair and biased against minorities in the global south and specifically against the indigenous people. In this session, speakers from Palestine, Colombia and Kashmir will try to shed light on the digital oppression they face on social media platforms. - Facing Disinformation: critical perspectives and counter strategies from Georgia and other conflict regions
This workshop discussion will bring together experts from Georgia with international voices to discuss why the South Caucasus region is of critical importance to understanding disinformation as a geo-strategic weapon. What can we learn about disinformation in conflict regions, that we can apply in other contexts? - Under Surveillance: A Palestinian Story
This session provides a space for the panelists to discuss how the Israeli Surveillance State impacts Palestinians day-to-day lives. Each panelist was selected specifically to provide a unique perspective.
The sessions above will be viewable until June 25th, so be sure to grab your On-Demand ticket to watch them (and all other recorded MozFest sessions) at a time that suits your schedule.
