Harry Brignull has been investigating deceptive user interfaces since 2010. He is the author of Deceptive Patterns and runs the website deceptive.design (formerly darkpatterns.org). He holds a PhD in Cognitive Science. His work and views have been used and cited by The Wall Street Journal, Vox, The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Verge, Gizmodo, The Atlantic, Fast Company, Ars Technica, Consumer Reports and The Norwegian Consumer Council.
