Withings Body Scale

Review Date 10/23/2019

For those of us who don't live with a doctor, there's this series of scales. They do everything from weigh you to measure your heart rate, water percentage, bone and muscle mass. It takes all that very personal information and shares it with an app on your phone where you set up personalized programs to keep your weight right where you want it. If you have the willpower, that is.

What could happen if something went wrong

Withings does meet our Minimum Security Standards. And any data they collect on you, they say will not be shared out with any third parties. This is all very good, because these scales collect some very personal information and share that data to your phone. If this data were exposed, people wouldn't just know how much you weigh, but what your heart rate, BMI, and even if you are tracking a pregnancy.
