The granddaddy of wearable watch tech--the Apple Watch--just got redesigned and re-engineered, seemingly with granddaddies and grandmommies in mind. The biggest change? This smart watch now comes with two FDA-cleared heart monitoring features, fall detection to alert an emergency contact when you fall, and an emergency SOS for when you can't get up. It also tracks your steps, plays your music, makes your calls, and has Siri without even having to say "Hey Siri."

What could happen if something goes wrong?

Your could come to rely on the fall detection and emergency contact alert and it could fail, leaving you or your elderly family member in a bad place.
