Apple TV

Review Date 10/23/2019

If money is no object, then the Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K box could be right for you. It comes with all the bells and whistles (for the beautiful geeks out there, that means things like Dolby Vision & Atmos, HDR10, A10X Fusion chip, 4K HDR). It also comes with a hefty price tag. You'll be able to stream from standards like Netflix and Hulu and rent or buy movies as well. You'll also get a free one-year subscription to Apple TV+, Apple's own streaming service (it's $4.99 per month after the free year). And if you like talking to Siri, it comes with a voice remote with Siri built-in.

What could happen if something went wrong

Apple does a good job with privacy and doesn't share or sell your viewing data with third-parties. You could always forget to set up the passcode that limits purchase or viewing of certain content, so your niece and nephew end up watching your entire Game of Thrones collection, scarring them for life
