Sub brand themes are managed within the Mozilla Foundation brand. They have their own unique guidelines and expressions but closely follow and relate to the Foundation branding. We strictly limit the number of sub brands we have in order to prevent fracturing our brand. To qualify as a sub brand the initiative must span multiple years, have ongoing resources/funding allocated to maintain and evolve brand beyond, and warrant a unique personality.
