From November 20–21, we’re diving into the future of tech with workshops, interactive sessions, and art installations that explore how we can build a more inclusive digital world. Whether you’re passionate about data, intrigued by AI, or just curious about the latest advancements in technology, this is the place to be. We’re counting down the days to MozFest House Zambia, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
We’re gathering some of the brightest minds from across Africa (and beyond!) to tackle the big questions: What does a fair digital economy look like? How do we build tech that truly serves communities? And of course, the most important one—where can I grab a coffee between sessions? (Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!)

Angela Odour Lungati, Executive Director of Ushahidi is our keynote speaker. Angela will share how Ushahidi has grown from a tool for crisis mapping in Kenya to a platform used in over 160 countries. (Yes, 160!) She’ll talk about how everyday communities take charge of their own data to solve real problems—and what’s next for empowering people to use data for good.
Bonus: Following the keynote presentation, She’ll be joined by Koliwe Majama for a fireside chat.

At the Data Futures Lab (DFL) Showcase, you will meet innovators from across Africa who are revolutionizing data ownership. These projects are creating new ways for communities to control their data and protect cultural heritage. Hear live expert feedback and find out who wins at the end of the showcase!
