Who we are

The Mozilla Foundation works to ensure the internet remains a public resource that is open and accessible to us all.

Website Licensing

This policy applies to all Mozilla Foundation websites (the “Sites”), including:

Content authored by Mozilla on the Sites is nearly all copyright Mozilla and available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC-BY). Exceptions include: (1) our trademarks, which generally may not be used without Mozilla’s prior permission, (2) photos of individuals where we are concerned about potential abuse of image and privacy rights, and (3) content that is available under a different open permissions set, such as a CC0 waiver. In most cases, applicable alternate open licenses and permissions will be indicated alongside the content.

For the most part, content on the Sites that belongs to third parties will be clearly identifiable as such and not available for public sharing and reuse through open licenses—for example, much of the content on Mozilla Pulse, which highlights non-Mozilla as well as Mozilla projects, and product images on the Privacy Not Included pages. Where possible, the Sites will display a notice if an open license is applicable.

If you have any questions about using content on the Sites, please contact us at [email protected].
